Dua Collection: Android tester guide
Google Play closed testing is underway; public release is pending. Eligible testers: join the tester group, then open the closed-test invitation with the same Google account. This is not a public store launch.
You do not need to be a developer. You need an Android phone, a Google account used in Google Play, and an internet connection.

1. Send the correct account email
- Open the Google Play Store on your phone.
- Tap your profile picture at the top right. Look for the account email underneath your name.
- If you have several accounts, choose the one you will use for testing.
- Send only that email address to the organiser. Never send your password, login code or backup codes.
2. Join using your private invitation
- Wait until the organiser adds your email and confirms that the closed test is available.
- Open the invitation link in Chrome on your Android phone.
- Check that the page is signed in to the same Google account.
- Read the invitation and tap the join button. Its wording may be “Become a tester”, “Join the test” or “Accept invite”.
- After joining, follow the “Download it on Google Play” link, or the organiser’s Play download link.
Illustrated sequence, not screenshots of Google Play. Button wording can vary.
3. Install from Google Play
- On the app’s Play page, check the developer and app details supplied by the organiser.
- Tap “Install”, wait for the download, then tap “Open”.
- If you already installed an APK directly, tell the organiser if Play reports a conflict. Do not delete saved data just to troubleshoot.
Why can I install an app that is not publicly listed? Google Play allows eligible invited testers to access a private test release through its invitation link. Searching the store or visiting the website alone does not enrol you.
4. Try these features over 14 days
Stay enrolled continuously for at least 14 days. Do not select “Leave the programme”. Try the app regularly and send genuine feedback. A suggested session is 3–5 minutes; Google does not specify this as a mandatory daily time.
- Read a dua and switch between Arabic and English.
- Browse subjects and move between pages.
- Save a card and return to it.
- Share a card through WhatsApp to someone who agrees to receive it.
- Download and open a PDF book.
- Report broken links, cut-off text, crashes or incorrect translations.
What the app looks like

If something goes wrong
- “Not eligible” or “App not available”: check that your email was added and that Chrome and Google Play use the same account. Ask the organiser to confirm the release is available.
- No install link: confirm you accepted the invitation. Close and reopen it after the organiser confirms availability.
- Download problem: check internet access and free storage. Keep Google Play updated.
- App error: send a screenshot, phone model, Android version and the steps that caused it. Hide private notifications and personal information.

The organiser needs at least 12 testers who have remained enrolled for the preceding 14 continuous days before applying for public-release access. Passing the time requirement does not guarantee approval. Please remain enrolled until the organiser confirms testing is complete.
