Raḥmāna al-dunyā wa al-ākhirati wa raḥīmahumā, tuʿṭīhimā man tashā’, wa tamnaʿu minhumā man tashā’, irḥamnī raḥmatan tughnīnī bihā ʿan raḥmati man siwāk.
O Allah, Owner of all sovereignty, You give authority to whom You will, remove it from whom You will, honour whom You will, and humble whom You will. All good is in Your hand, and You have power over all things. Most Merciful of this world and the Hereafter, You give of them to whom You will and withhold from whom You will. Have mercy on me with a mercy that makes me independent of the mercy of anyone besides You.
