God's exaltation of the believers and the righteous: Malik ibn Dinar, may God have mercy on him, said: It has reached me that on the Day of Resurrection, the sincere admonisher will be summoned, and a crown of kingship will be placed on his head, then he will be ordered to Paradise. He will say: My God, there are people in the place of the Resurrection who used to help me in the world in what I was doing. He said: So he will do to them as he did to him, then he will set out leading them to Paradise because of his honor with God Almighty. [Al-Hilya (its abridgment) 1/428].

God's elevation of the believers and the righteous: Ash'ath ibn Shu'bah said: Harun al-Rashid arrived in Raqqa, and the people swarmed behind Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak, may God have mercy on him, and sandals were torn and dust rose. The mother of the Commander of the Faithful's child looked out from a tower of the wooden palace, and when she saw the people, she said: What is this? They said: A scholar from the people of Khurasan has come to Raqqa, and he is called Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak. She said: This, by God, is kingship, not the kingship of Harun, who does not gather people except with police and assistants. [Al-Siyar (its abridgment) 2/766].

God's elevation of the believers and the righteous: On the authority of al-Utbi, on the authority of his father, he said: Salim bin Abdullah, may God have mercy on him, entered upon Sulayman bin Abdul-Malik, and Salim was wearing coarse, worn clothes. Sulayman kept welcoming him and elevating him until he seated him with him on his throne, and Umar bin Abdul-Aziz was in the assembly. A man from the lower ranks of the people said to him: Couldn't your uncle wear finer clothes than these to enter upon the Commander of the Faithful? He said: The speaker was wearing fine, valuable clothes. Umar said to him: I have not seen these clothes that my uncle is wearing put him in your place, nor have I seen these clothes of yours raise you to the place of my uncle. God preserves the righteous and mentions some of their miracles: On the authority of Salman al-Farisi, may God be pleased with him, he said: The example of the believer in this world is like that of a sick person with his doctor who knows his ailment and its cure. If he desires something that would harm him, the doctor forbids him and says, “Do not go near it, for if you do, it will destroy you.” He continues to forbid him until he is cured of his pain. Likewise, the believer desires many things that others have been given in abundance in life, but God, the Exalted and Glorified, forbids him from them and restrains him until He takes his soul and admits him to Paradise. [Sifat al-Safwa 1/258].

God preserves the righteous and mentions some of their miracles: On the authority of Safina, may God be pleased with him - Mihran, the freed slave of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace - that he boarded a ship at sea, and it broke with them. He said: So I clung to something of it until I came out to an island, and there was a lion there, so I said: O Abu al-Harith: I am Safina, the freed slave of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. So he lowered his head and began to push me with his sides, showing me the way. When I came out to the way, he growled, so I thought that he was bidding me farewell. [Al-Muntazam 5/141].
