Prayer and its importance: On the authority of Abu Bahriyyah, he said: I entered the mosque of Homs and heard Mu’adh ibn Jabal, may God be pleased with him, say: Whoever wishes to come to God, the Exalted and Glorified, in safety, let him come to these five prayers where they are called, for they are among the Sunnahs of guidance, and among what your Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, has prescribed for you. And let him not say, “I have a prayer place in my house, so I will pray in it,” for if you do that, you will have abandoned the Sunnah of your Prophet, and if you abandon the Sunnah of your Prophet, may God be pleased with him, you will go astray.
