Women of the early Muslims: Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, said: A son of Abu Talhah by Umm Sulaym, may Allah be pleased with her, fell ill. The boy died in the inner room, and she covered him. Then she prepared Abu Talhah's meal for breaking his fast, as she did each night. Abu Talhah entered and asked her: How is the boy? She replied: In the best condition. He praised Allah. She served him his meal, then attended to what women attend to, and Abu Talhah had relations with his wife. At the time before dawn she said: Abu Talhah, have you not seen how the family of so-and-so borrowed something and enjoyed it, but found it difficult when it was requested back? He replied: They were not fair. She said: Your son was a loan from Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and Allah Most High has taken him back. He praised Allah and said: We belong to Allah and to Him we return. Then in the morning he went to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: Abu Talhah, may Allah bless you both in your night. She conceived Abdullah ibn Abi Talhah. [Musnad of Imam Ahmad: 12028].
