Duas for the Day of Arafah.

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Rabbanā ātinā fī al-dunyā ḥasanah, wa fī al-ākhirati ḥasanah, wa qinā ʿadhāba al-nār

Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ

Rabbanā lā tuzigh qulūbanā baʿda idh hadaytanā wa hab lanā min ladunka raḥmatan, innaka anta al-Wahhāb.

Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself. You are truly the Bestower.

رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ · وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِ * رَبَّنَا وَآتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الميعاد

Rabbanā ʾinnana amanna faghfir lana dhunubana waqina ʿadhab alnnar wakaffir ʿanna sayiyātina watawaffana maʿ alʾabrar * Rabbanā watina ma waʿadtana ʿalā rusulik wala tukhzina yawm alqiamat ʾinnak la tukhlif almiʿad

Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Remove our evil deeds from us and let us die with the righteous. Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You never break Your promise.

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِمَا أَنزَلْتَ وَاتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُولَ فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ

Rabbanā āmannā bimā anzalta wa ittabaʿnā al-rasūla, fa-uktubnā maʿa al-shāhidīn

Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the Messenger, so register us among the witnesses.

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

Rabbanā ẓalamnā anfusnā, wa in lam taghfir lanā wa tarḥamnā lanakūnanna mina al-khāsirīn

Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا

Rabbanā ātinā min ladunka raḥmatan, wa hayyi’ lanā min amrinā rashadan

Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance.

رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي * وَيَسِّرْ لي أَمْرِي

Rabbi ishraḥ lī ṣadrī, wa yassir lī amrī

My Lord, expand for me my breast and ease for me my task.

رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

Rabbi zidnī ʿilman

My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ * وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ

Rabbi aʿūdhu bika min hamazāti al-shayāṭīn, wa aʿūdhu bika rabbi an yaḥḍurūn

My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil suggestions of the devils, and I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me.

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Rabbanā āmannā faghfir lanā warḥamnā wa anta khayru r-rāḥimīn.

Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us; You are the best of those who show mercy.

رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَاماً

Rabbanā iṣrif ʿannā ʿadhāba jahannama, inna ʿadhābahā kāna gharāmā.

Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering.

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Rabbanā hab lanā min azwājinā wa dhurriyyātinā qurrata aʿyunin, wajʿalnā lil-muttaqīna imāmā.

Our Lord, bless us with spouses and offspring who will be the joy of our eyes, and make us examples for the righteous.

رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي ۖ إِنِّي تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

Rabbi awziʿnī an ashkura niʿmatika allatī anʿamta ʿalayya wa ʿalā wālidayya wa an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa aṣliḥ lī fī dhurrīyatī innī tubtu ilayka wa innī mina al-muslimīn

My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims.

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Rabbanā ighfir lanā wa li-ikhwāninā alladhīna sabaqūnā bil-īmān, wa lā tajʿal fī qulūbinā ghillan lilladhīna āmanū, rabbanā innaka raʾūfun raḥīm.

Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers and sisters who preceded us in faith, and do not place in our hearts any resentment toward those who believe. Our Lord, You are truly Most Kind, Most Merciful.

رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

Rabbanā lā tajʿalnā fitnatan lilladhīna kafarū waghfir lanā rabbanā innaka anta l-ʿazīzu l-ḥakīm.

Our Lord, do not make us a trial for those who disbelieve, and forgive us, our Lord. You are the Almighty, the Wise.

رَّبِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَل لِّي مِن لَّدُنكَ سُلْطَانًا نَّصِيرًا

Rabbi adkhilnī mudkhala ṣidqin, wa akhrijnī mukhraja ṣidqin, wa ijʿal lī min ladunka sulṭānan naṣīran

My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority.

رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا

Rabbanā lā tuʾākhidhnā in nasīnā aw akhṭaʾnā

Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make a mistake.

رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا

Rabbanā wa lā taḥmil ʿalaynā iṣran kamā ḥamaltahū ʿalalladhīna min qablinā

Our Lord, do not place upon us a burden like the one You placed upon those before us.

رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Rabbanā wa lā tuḥammilnā mā lā ṭāqata lanā bih, waʿfu ʿannā waghfir lanā warḥamnā, Anta mawlānā fanṣurnā ʿalal-qawmil-kāfirīn

Our Lord, do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people.

رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Rabbanā afrigh ʿalaynā ṣabran wa thabbit aqdāmanā wanṣurnā ʿalal-qawmil-kāfirīn

Our Lord, pour patience upon us, make our feet firm, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.

رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِ

Rabbanā faghfir lanā dhunūbanā wa kaffir ʿannā sayyiʾātinā wa tawaffanā maʿal-abrār

Our Lord, forgive our sins, erase our misdeeds, and let us die among the righteous.

رَبَّنَا وَآتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ

Rabbanā wa ātinā mā waʿadtanā ʿalā rusulika wa lā tukhzinā yawmal-qiyāmah, innaka lā tukhliful-mīʿād

Our Lord, grant us what You promised through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. You never break Your promise.

رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ ۝ وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Rabbanā lā tajʿalnā fitnatan lil-qawmiẓ-ẓālimīn, wa najjinā biraḥmatika minal-qawmil-kāfirīn

Our Lord, do not make us a trial for the wrongdoing people, and save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people.

رَبَّنَا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

Rabbanā ʿalayka tawakkalnā wa ilayka anabnā wa ilaykal-maṣīr

Our Lord, in You we place our trust, to You we turn in repentance, and to You is the final return.

رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ

Rabbanā lā tajʿalnā maʿa al-qawmi aẓ-ẓālimīn.

Our Lord, do not place us among the wrongdoing people.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، اللَّهُمَّ أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْلِي وَمَاليٍ، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي، وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي، وَاحْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ، وَمِنْ خَلْفِي، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي، وَعَنْ شِمَاليٍ، وَمِنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي

Allāhumma innī as’aluka al-ʿafwa wa al-ʿāfiyata fī al-dunyā wa al-ākhirah. Allāhumma as’aluka al-ʿafwa wa al-ʿāfiyata fī dīnī wa dunyāya wa ahlī wa mālī. Allāhumma ustur ʿawrātī, wa āmin rawʿātī, wa iḥfaẓnī min bayni yadayya wa min khalfī, wa ʿan yamīnī wa ʿan shimālī wa min fawqī, wa aʿūdhu bika an ughtāla min taḥtī.

O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this life and the next. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, and my family and my wealth. O Allah, veil my weaknesses and set at ease my dismay. O Allah, preserve me from the front and from behind and on my right and on my left and from above, and I take refuge with You lest I be swallowed up by the earth.

اللهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِي الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِي الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادِي، وَاجْعَلٍ الْحْيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرِ، وَاجْعَلِ الموْتَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ

Allāhumma aṣliḥ lī dīniya alladhī huwa ʿiṣmatu amrī, wa aṣliḥ lī dunyāya allatī fīhā maʿāshī, wa aṣliḥ lī ākhiratiya allatī fīhā maʿādī, wajʿali al-ḥayāta ziyādatan lī fī kulli khayr, wajʿali al-mawta rāḥatan lī min kulli sharr.

O Allah, rectify my religion, which safeguards my affairs; rectify my worldly life, in which is my livelihood; rectify my Hereafter, to which is my return; make life an increase for me in every good, and make death a relief for me from every evil.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ القَبْرِ، اللهُمَّ إِنِي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ، اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الفِتَنِ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الَمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الَمَحْيَا، وَفِتْنَةِ الَمَماتِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ المَأْثَم وَالَغْرَمِ

Allāhumma ʾīni ʾaʿudh bik min ʿadhab alqabri, Allāhumma ʾīni ʾaʿudh bik min ʿadhab alnāri, Allāhumma ʾīniy ʾaʿudh bik min alfitan ma zahar minha wama batana, waʾaʿudh bik min fitnat alamasih aldajāli, waʾaʿudh bik min fitnat alamahya, wafitnat alamamati, Allāhumma ʾīniy ʾaʿudh bik min almatham walaghram

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from trials, both apparent and hidden, from the trial of the False Messiah, and from the trials of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sin and debt.

اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ، وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ، وَفُجَاءَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ، وَجَمِيعِ سَخَطِكَ

Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min zawāli niʿmatika, wa taḥawwuli ʿāfiyatika, wa fuja’ati niqmatika, wa jamīʿi sakhṭika

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the withdrawal of Your blessing, the loss of well-being, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all forms of Your wrath.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allāhumma innaka ʿafuwwun tuḥibbu al-ʿafwa faʿfu ʿannī.

O Allah, You are Pardoning and love to pardon, so pardon me.

اللهُمَّ آتِ نَفْسِي تَقْوَاهَا، وَزَكِّهَا أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا، أَنْتَ وَلِيُّهَا وَمَوْلاهَا، اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمِ لا يَنْفَعُ، وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لا يَخْشَعُ، وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لا تَشْبَعُ، وَمِنْ دَعْوَةٍ لا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا

Allāhumma at nafsi taqwaha, wazakiha ʾant khayr man zakāha, ʾant waliuha wamawlaha, Allāhumma ʾīniy ʾaʿudh bik min ʿilm la yanfaʿu, wamin qalb la yakhshaʿu, wamin nafs la tashbaʿu, wamin daʿwat la yustajab laha

O Allah, grant my soul its piety and purify it; You are the best to purify it. You are its Guardian and Master. I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, a heart that does not humble itself, a soul that is never satisfied, and a supplication that is not answered.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الهَمِّ وَالحَزَنِ، وَالعَجْزِ وَالكَسَلِ، وَالبُخْلِ وَالجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ، وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina al-hammi wa al-ḥazan, wa al-ʿajzi wa al-kasal, wa al-bukhli wa al-jubn, wa ḍalaʿi al-dayn, wa ghalabati al-rijāl.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, incapacity and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debt, and being overpowered by people.

اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الثَّبَاتَ فِي الْأَمْرِ، وَالْعَزِيمَةَ عَلَى الرُّشْدِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مُوجِبَاتِ رَحْمَتكَ، وَعَزَائِمَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ شُكْرَ نِعْمَتِكَ، وَحُسْنَ عِبَادَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ قَلْبًا سَلِيمَا، وَلِسَانًا صَادِقًا، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا تَعْلَمُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا تَعْلَمُ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا تَعْلَمُ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ

Allāhumma innī as’aluka al-thabāta fī al-amr, wa al-ʿazīmata ʿalā al-rushd, wa as’aluka mūjibāti raḥmatik, wa ʿazā’ima maghfiratik, wa as’aluka shukra niʿmatik, wa ḥusna ʿibādatik, wa as’aluka qalban salīman, wa lisānan ṣādiqan, wa as’aluka min khayri mā taʿlam, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā taʿlam, wa astaghfiruka limā taʿlam; innaka anta ʿallāmu al-ghuyūb.

O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in all matters and determination upon right guidance. I ask You for what brings Your mercy and earns Your forgiveness, for gratitude for Your blessings and excellent worship. I ask You for a sound heart and truthful tongue. I ask You for the good You know, seek refuge from the evil You know, and seek Your forgiveness for what You know. You alone are the Knower of the unseen.

اللَّهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي، وَعَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي، وَزِدْنِي عِلْمًا

Allāhumma anfaʿni bima ʿalamtani, waʿalimni ma yanfaʿuni, wazidni ʿilman

O Allah, benefit me through what You have taught me, teach me what benefits me, and increase me in knowledge.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ عَاجِلِهِ وَآجِلِهِ، مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ كُلِّهِ عَاجِلِهِ وَآجِلِهِ، مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا سَأَلَكَ عَبْدُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَاذَ بِهِ عَبْدُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الجَنَّةَ وَمَا قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ عَمَلٍ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَا قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ عَمَلِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ كُلَّ قَضَاءٍ قَضَيْتَهُ لِي خَيْراً

Allāhumma innī as’aluka mina al-khayri kullihi, ʿājilihi wa ājilihi, mā ʿalimtu minhu wa mā lam aʿlam; wa aʿūdhu bika mina al-sharri kullihi, ʿājilihi wa ājilihi, mā ʿalimtu minhu wa mā lam aʿlam. Allāhumma innī as’aluka min khayri mā sa’alaka minhu ʿabduka wa nabiyyuk, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ʿādha bihi ʿabduka wa nabiyyuk. Allāhumma innī as’aluka al-jannata wa mā qarraba ilayhā min qawlin aw ʿamal, wa aʿūdhu bika mina al-nāri wa mā qarraba ilayhā min qawlin aw ʿamal, wa as’aluka an tajʿala kulla qaḍā’in qaḍaytahu lī khayrā.

O Allah, I ask You for every good, immediate and delayed, what I know and what I do not know. I seek refuge in You from every evil, immediate and delayed, what I know and what I do not know. I ask You for the good Your servant and Prophet asked of You, and seek refuge from the evil from which Your servant and Prophet sought refuge. I ask You for Paradise and every word or deed that brings one near it, and seek refuge from the Fire and every word or deed that brings one near it. I ask You to make every decree You ordain for me good.

اللَّهُمَّ بِعِلْمِكَ الْغَيْبَ، وَقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ، أَحْيِنِي مَا عَلِمْتَ الْحَيَاةَ خَيْرًا لِي، وَتَوَفّنِي إِذَا عَلِمْتَ الْوَفَاةَ خَيْرًا لي

Allāhumma biʿilmik alghayba, waqudratik ʿalā alkhalqi, ʾahyini ma ʿalimt alhayat khayran li, watawaffni ʾīdha ʿalimt alwafat khayran li

O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, keep me alive while You know life is good for me, and cause me to die when You know death is good for me.

اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي بِالْإِسْلامِ قَائِمًا، وَاحْفَظْنِي بِالْإِسْلامِ قَاعِدًا، وَاحْفَظْنِي بِالْإِسْلامِ رَاقِدًا، وَلا تُشْمِتْ بِي عَدُوًّا حَاسِدًا، وَاللَّهُمَّ إِنِي أَسَالُكَ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرِ خَزَائِنُهُ بِيَدِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَرّ خَزَائِنُهُ بِيَدِكَ

Allāhumma iḥfaẓnī bi-al-islāmi qā’iman, wa iḥfaẓnī bi-al-islāmi qāʿidan, wa iḥfaẓnī bi-al-islāmi rāqidan, wa lā tushmit bī ʿaduwwan wa lā ḥāsidan. Allāhumma innī as’aluka min kulli khayrin khazā’inuhu biyadik, wa aʿūdhu bika min kulli sharrin khazā’inuhu biyadik.

O Allah, preserve me through Islam while standing, sitting, and lying down, and do not let an enemy or envier rejoice at my misfortune. O Allah, I ask You for every good whose treasures are in Your hand, and seek refuge in You from every evil whose treasures are in Your hand.

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ

Yā muqalliba l-qulūb, thabbit qalbī ʿalā dīnik.

O Turner of hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.

رَبِّ أَعِنِّي وَلا تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ، وَانْصُرْنِي وَلا تَنْصُرْ عَليَّ، وَامْكُرْ ليٍ وَلا تَمَكُرْ عَلَيَّ، وَاهْدِنِي وَيَسِّرْ هُدَايَ إِلَيَّ، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ بَغَى عَلَيَّ، اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي لَكَ شَاكِرًا، لَكَ ذَاكِرًا، لَكَ رَاهِبًا، لَكَ مِطْوَاعًا إِلَيْكَ، مُخْبِتًا، أَوْ مُنِيبًا، رَبِّ تَقَبَّلْ تَوْبَتِي، وَاغْسِلْ حَوْبَتِي، وَأَجِبْ دَعْوَتِي، وَثَّبِّتْ حُجَّتِي، وَاهْدٍ قَلْبِي، وَسَدِّدْ لِسَانِي، وَاسْلُلْ سَخِيمَةَ قَلْبِي

Rabbi ʾaʿiniy wala tuʿin ʿalaya, wansurni wala tansur ʿalya, wamkur ly wala tamakur ʿalaya, wahdini wayasir huday ʾīlaya, wansurni ʿalā man baghā ʿalaya, Allāhumma ajʿalni lak shakiran, lak dhakiran, lak rahiban, lak mitwaʿan ʾīlayka, mukhbitan, ʾaw muniban, Rabbi taqabal tawbati, waghsil hawbati, waʾajib daʿwati, wathabit hujati, wahd qalbi, wasadid lisani, waslul sakhimat qalbi

My Lord, help me and do not aid against me; support me and do not support against me; plan for me and not against me; guide me, make guidance easy for me, and grant me victory over whoever wrongs me. O Allah, make me grateful to You, remembering You, fearful of You, obedient to You, humble, and returning to You. My Lord, accept my repentance, wash away my sin, answer my prayer, strengthen my proof, guide my heart, correct my tongue, and remove resentment from my heart.

اللهُمَّ أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ، وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ

Allāhumma aʿūdhu biriḍāka min sakhaṭik, wa bimuʿāfātika min ʿuqūbatik, wa aʿūdhu bika mink, lā uḥṣī thanā’an ʿalayk, anta kamā athnayta ʿalā nafsik.

O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger, in Your pardon from Your punishment, and in You from You. I cannot praise You fully; You are as You have praised Yourself.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الخَيْرَاتِ، وَتَرْكَ المُنْكَرَاتِ، وَحُبَّ الَمسَاكِينِ، وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ بِعِبَادِكَ فِتْنَةً فَاقْبِضْنِي إِلَيْكَ غَيْرَ مَفْتُونٍ

Allāhumma innī as’aluka fiʿla al-khayrāt, wa tarka al-munkarāt, wa ḥubba al-masākīn, wa idhā aradta biʿibādika fitnatan faqbiḍnī ilayka ghayra maftūn.

O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, leave evil deeds, and love the poor; and if You decree a trial for Your servants, take me to You without being led astray by it.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قَلْبِي نُورًا، وَفِي بَصرِي نُورًا، وَفِي سَمْعِي نُورًا، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي نُورًا، وَعَنْ يَسَارِي نُورًا، وَفَوْقِي نُورًا، وَتَحْتِي نُورًا، وَأَمَامِي نُورًا، وَخَلْفِي نُورًا، وَاجْعَلْ لي نُورًا

Allāhumma ijʿal fī qalbī nūran, wa fī baṣarī nūran, wa fī samʿī nūran, wa ʿan yamīnī nūran, wa ʿan yasārī nūran, wa fawqī nūran, wa taḥtī nūran, wa amāmī nūran, wa khalfī nūran, wajʿal lī nūrā.

O Allah, place light in my heart, my sight, and my hearing; place light on my right and my left, above me and below me, before me and behind me; and grant me light.

اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الهُدَى وَالتُّقَى، وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى

Allāhumma innī as’aluka al-hudā, wa al-tuqā, wa al-ʿafāf, wa al-ghinā

O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and sufficiency.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَالْهرَمِ وَالْقَسْوَةِ، وَالْغَفْلَةِ، وَالْعَيْلَةَ وَالذِّلَّةَ وَالمُسْكَنَةَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ وَالْكُفْرِ، وَالْفُسُوقِ، وَالشِّقَاقِ، وَالنَّفَاقِ وَالسُّمْعَةِ، وَالرِّيَاءِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الصَّمَمِ وَالْبَكَمِ وَالْجُنُونِ، وَالْجُذَامِ، وَالْبَرَصِ، وَسَيِّئِ الْأَسْقَامِ

Allāhumma ʾīniy ʾaʿudh bik min alʿajz walkasali, waljubn walbukhli, walhram walqaswati, walghaflati, walʿaylat waldhilat walmuskanata, waʾaʿudh bik min alfaqr walkufri, walfusuqi, walshiqaqi, walnafaq walsumʿati, walriyaʾi, waʾaʿudh bik min alsamam walbakam waljununi, waljudhami, walbarasi, wasayiy alʾasqam

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, miserliness, senility, hardness of heart, heedlessness, destitution, humiliation, and wretched poverty. I seek refuge in You from poverty, disbelief, wickedness, discord, hypocrisy, seeking reputation, and showing off. I seek refuge in You from deafness, muteness, insanity, leprosy, severe skin disease, and evil illnesses.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ قَلْبٍ لا يخْشَعُ، وَمِنْ دُعَاءٍ لا يُسْمَعُ، وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لا تَشْبَعُ، وَمِنْ عِلْمٍ لا يَنْفَعُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَؤُلاءِ الأَرْبَع

Allāhumma ʾīniy ʾaʿudh bik min qalb la ykhshaʿu, wamin duʿaʾ la yusmaʿu, wamin nafs la tashbaʿu, wamin ʿilm la yanfaʿu, ʾaʿudh bik min hawulaʾ alʾarbaʿ

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a heart that does not humble itself, a supplication that is not heard, a soul that is never satisfied, and knowledge that does not benefit. I seek refuge in You from these four.

اللَّهُمَّ اقْسِمْ لَنَا مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ مَا يَحُولُ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ مَعَاصِيكَ، وَمِنْ طَاعَتِكَ مَا تُبَلِّغُنَا بِهِ جَنَّتَكَ، وَمِنَ اليَقِينِ مَا تُهُوِّنُ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا مُصِيبَاتِ الدُّنْيَا، وَمَتِّعْنَا بِأَسْمَاعِنَا وَأَبْصَارِنَا وَقُوَّتِنَا مَا أَحْبَيْتَنَا، وَاجْعَلْهُ الوَارِثَ مِنَّا، وَاجْعَلْ ثَأْرَنَا عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَنَا، وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى مَنْ عَادَانَا، وَلا تَجْعَلْ مُصِيبتَنَا فِي دِينِنَا، وَلا تَجْعَلِ الدُّنْيَا أَكْبَرَ هَمّنَا وَلا مَبْلَغَ عِلْمِنَا، وَلا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيْنَا مَنْ لا يَرْحَمُنَا

Allāhumma iqsim lanā min khashyatika mā yaḥūlu baynanā wa bayna maʿāṣīk, wa min ṭāʿatika mā tuballighunā bihi jannatak, wa mina al-yaqīni mā tuhawwinu bihi ʿalaynā muṣībāti al-dunyā, wa mattiʿnā bi-asmāʿinā wa abṣārinā wa quwwatinā mā aḥyaytanā, wajʿalhu al-wāritha minnā, wajʿal tha’ranā ʿalā man ẓalamanā, wanṣurnā ʿalā man ʿādānā, wa lā tajʿal muṣībatanā fī dīninā, wa lā tajʿali al-dunyā akbara hamminā wa lā mablagha ʿilminā, wa lā tusalliṭ ʿalaynā man lā yarḥamunā.

O Allah, allot to us such fear of You as will come between us and disobedience to You; such obedience as will bring us to Your Paradise; and such certainty as will make worldly calamities easy for us. Let us enjoy our hearing, sight, and strength as long as You keep us alive, and make them remain until our end. Grant us justice against those who wrong us and victory over those who oppose us. Do not make our religion the place of our calamity, the world our greatest concern or the limit of our knowledge, and do not place over us those who show us no mercy.

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاهْدِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي.

Allāhumma ighfir lī wa-rḥamnī wa-hdinī wa-rzuqnī.

O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me and provide for me.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.

Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa Huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin Qadīr.

There is no god worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and all praise, and He has power over all things.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ.

Lā ilāha illallāhu al-ʿaẓīmu al-ḥalīm. Lā ilāha illallāhu rabbu al-ʿarshi al-ʿaẓīm. Lā ilāha illallāhu rabbu as-samāwāti wa rabbu al-arḍi wa rabbu al-ʿarshi al-karīm.

There is no god worthy of worship but Allah, the Magnificent, the Forbearing; no god but Allah, Lord of the mighty Throne; no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens, the earth and the noble Throne.

اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ.

Allāhumma aʿinnī ʿalā dhikrika wa shukrika wa ḥusni ʿibādatik.

O Allah, help me remember You, thank You and worship You well.
