Al-Fātiḥah as Ruqyah
فَجَعَلَ يَقْرَأُ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ، وَيَجْمَعُ بُزَاقَهُ، وَيَتْفِلُ، فَبَرَأَ
Fa-jaʿala yaqra’u bi-ummi l-Qur’ān, wa yajmaʿu buzāqahu, wa yatfilu, fa-bara’a.
He began reciting the Mother of the Qur’an, gathering his saliva and lightly spitting, and the man recovered.
The Prophet ﷺ smiled and confirmed, “How did you know it is a ruqyah?” This is direct approval of a Companion’s ruqyah practice.
How to use: Recite al-Fātiḥah and blow lightly; no compulsory number is established in this report.
