The Evil Eye Is Real

الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ، وَلَوْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ سَابَقَ الْقَدَرَ سَبَقَتْهُ الْعَيْنُ، وَإِذَا اسْتُغْسِلْتُمْ فَاغْسِلُوا

Al-ʿaynu ḥaqq, wa law kāna shay’un sābiqa l-qadari sabaqat-hu l-ʿayn, wa idhā stughsiltum fa-ghsilū.

The evil eye is real. If anything could overtake the divine decree, it would be the evil eye. If you are asked to wash, then wash.

The eye has an effect only by Allah’s decree. The identified person may be asked to wash in the prescribed way; accusations and superstition are forbidden.

How to use: Follow the prophetic washing procedure only when applicable.
