Everything humbles itself before Him, and everything is sustained by Him. He is the sufficiency of every poor person, the honour of every lowly person, the strength of every weak person, and the refuge of everyone in distress. Whoever speaks, He hears his words; whoever is silent, He knows his secret. Whoever lives, his provision is upon Him; whoever dies, to Him is his return. Eyes have not seen You so as to describe You; rather, You existed before those of Your creatures who describe You. You did not create creation out of loneliness, nor employ them for a benefit. Whoever You pursue cannot outrun You, and whoever You seize cannot escape You. Whoever disobeys You does not diminish Your authority, and whoever obeys You does not increase Your dominion. Whoever resents Your decree cannot repel Your command, and whoever turns away from Your command cannot do without You. Every secret is public to You, and every unseen thing is visible to You. You are eternal, with no limit to Your duration. You are the final destination, with no escape from You. You are the appointed meeting, with no refuge from You except with You. In Your hand is the forelock of every creature, and to You is the return of every soul. Glory be to You! How great is Your majesty! Glory be to You! How great is what we see of Your creation, and how small every great thing is beside Your power! How awesome is what we see of Your kingdom, and how insignificant it is beside the authority hidden from us! How abundant are Your blessings in this world, and how small they are beside the blessings of the Hereafter!

This world and the Hereafter yield their reins to Him. The heavens and the earths cast their keys before Him. Flourishing trees prostrate before Him morning and evening, and from their branches they kindle shining fires for Him. Ripe fruits bring forth their produce by His words.

O Most Merciful of the merciful, my companion in my hardship, my comfort in my solitude, my protector amid my blessings, my guardian over myself, remover of my distress, hearer of my prayer, merciful toward my tears, pardoner of my stumbling, my Allah in truth, my firm support, my ever-near protector, my compassionate Master, Lord of the Ancient House: bring me out of the narrow confines of hardship into the spaciousness of the path, and grant near and secure relief from You. Remove every hardship and constriction from me, and suffice me against what I can bear and what I cannot bear. O Allah, relieve me of every worry and grief, and bring me out of every sorrow and distress. Reliever of worry and Remover of grief, Sender of rain, Answerer of the prayers of those in desperate need, Most Compassionate and Most Merciful in this world and the Hereafter: bless Your chosen one from Your creation, Muhammad the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and his good and pure family. Relieve me of that which has tightened my chest, exhausted my patience, left me with little resourcefulness, and weakened my strength. Remover of every harm and affliction, Knower of every secret and hidden thing, Most Merciful of the merciful! I entrust my affairs to Allah; indeed, Allah sees His servants. My success is only through Allah. In Him I put my trust, and He is Lord of the Mighty Throne.

O You whom eyes do not see, whom conjectures do not touch, whom those who describe cannot fully describe, whom events do not change, and who does not fear reversals of fortune. You know the weights of mountains, the measures of seas, the number of raindrops, the number of leaves on trees, and the number of all that night darkens and day illuminates. No heaven conceals another heaven from You, no earth conceals another earth, no sea conceals what lies in its depths, and no mountain conceals what lies in its rugged places. Make the best part of my life its end, the best part of my deeds their final acts, and the best of my days the day on which I meet You.

Glory be to You, the Gentle One: how gentle You are! The Compassionate One: how compassionate You are! The Wise One: how knowing You are! Glory be to You, the King: how unassailable You are! The Generous One: how vast Your generosity is! The Exalted One: how exalted You are! Possessor of splendour, glory, greatness, and praise. Glory be to You! Your path is firm and clear, Your command is right guidance, and You are Living and the One upon whom all depend. Glory be to You! Your word is judgment, Your decree is inevitable, and Your will is resolute. Glory be to You! None can repel Your will or change Your words. Glory be to You, possessor of dazzling signs, Originator of the heavens, Creator of living beings. Yours is praise enduring as You endure, praise everlasting through Your blessing, praise matching Your handiwork, praise exceeding the measure of Your satisfaction, praise joined to the praise of every praiser, and thanks beside which every giver of thanks falls short. Praise befitting only You, by which nearness is sought only to You. Praise by which earlier blessings are preserved and the continuation of later blessings is sought. Praise that multiplies as ages pass and increases manyfold, again and again. Praise that the guardian angels cannot count, exceeding what the recording angels have counted in Your book. Praise balancing Your glorious Throne and equalling Your lofty Footstool. Praise whose reward is made complete with You, and whose recompense encompasses every recompense. Praise whose outward expression agrees with its inward reality, and whose inward reality agrees with sincere intention. Praise the like of which no creature has offered You, and whose excellence none but You knows. Praise in whose enumeration the one who strives is helped, and in whose full rendering the one who strives with all his might is supported. Praise gathering all the praise You have created and embracing what You will create thereafter. Praise nearer than any other praise to Your word, with none more praiseworthy than the one who praises You with it. Praise whose abundance, through Your generosity, calls forth increase, and which You join to increase after increase as a bounty from You. Praise due to Your noble countenance and corresponding to the might of Your majesty.

Praise be to Allah. O Allah, our Lord, praise is Yours for creating us, providing for us, guiding us, rescuing us, and relieving us. Praise is Yours for the Qur’an, and praise is Yours for family, wealth, and well-being. You subdued our enemy, expanded our provision, made our safety manifest, reunited us after separation, and granted us excellent well-being. Of all that we asked of You, our Lord, You gave us. For all this, abundant praise is Yours. Praise is Yours for every blessing You have bestowed on us, whether long ago or recently, secretly or openly, individually or generally, upon the living or the dead, the present or the absent. Praise is Yours until You are pleased, and praise is Yours when You are pleased.
