اللهم أنت أحق من ذُكر، وأحق من عُبد، وأنصر من ابتُغي، وأرأف من مَلَك، وأجود من سُئل، وأوسع مَن أعطى. أنت الملك لا شريك لك، والفرد لا ند لك، كل شيء هالك إلا وجهَك. لن تطاع إلا بإذنك، ولن تعصى إلا بعلمك، تطاع فتشكر، وتُعصى فتغفر. أقرب شهيد، وأدنى حفيظ، حلت دون النفوس، وأخذت بالنواصي، وكتبت الآثار، ونسخت الآجال. القلوب لك مُفضية، والسر عندك علانية، الحلال ما أحللت، والحرام ما حرمت، والدين ما شرعت، والأمر ما قضيت، والخلق خلقك، والعبد عبدك، وأنت الله الرؤوف الرحيم). أسألك بنور وجهك الذي أشرقت له السماوات والأرض، وبكل حق هو لك، وبحق السائلين عليك، أن تقبلني في هذه الغداة أو في هذه العشية، وأن تجيرني من النار بقدرتك.

O Allah, You are most worthy of remembrance and worship, the greatest Helper to be sought, the most compassionate Sovereign, the most generous One to be asked, and the most abundant Giver. You are the King, without partner; the Unique One, without equal. Everything will perish except Your Face. You are not obeyed except by Your permission, nor disobeyed except with Your knowledge. When You are obeyed, You show appreciation; when You are disobeyed, You forgive. You are the nearest Witness and closest Guardian. You stand between people and their souls, hold their forelocks, record their traces, and write their appointed lifespans. Hearts open themselves to You, and secrets are public to You. O You who make the beautiful apparent and conceal the ugly, who do not hold one to account for an offense or tear away the covering of faults; You who graciously overlook, whose forgiveness is vast, who extend both hands with mercy, who are present at every whispered conversation and the ultimate recipient of every complaint; You whose pardon is generous and whose favour is immense, who begin bestowing blessings before they are deserved; our Lord, our Master, our Protector, and the ultimate object of our longing: I ask You, O Allah, not to burn my body in the Fire.

O Allah, all praise belongs to You. None can withhold what You extend, and none can extend what You withhold. None can guide those You cause to stray, and none can misguide those You guide. None can give what You withhold, and none can withhold what You give. None can bring near what You have set far away, and none can set far away what You have brought near. O Allah, spread over us Your blessings, mercy, favour and provision. O Allah, I ask You for lasting bliss that neither changes nor ends. I ask You for comfort in times of poverty and safety in times of fear. I seek Your protection from the evil of what You have given us and what You have withheld. Make faith beloved to us and adorn our hearts with it. Make disbelief, wrongdoing and disobedience hateful to us, and make us rightly guided. Let us die as Muslims, let us live as Muslims, and join us to the righteous, without disgrace or being led astray. O Allah, oppose the disbelievers who deny Your messengers and obstruct Your path, and bring Your punishment upon them. O Allah, oppose the disbelievers who were given the Scripture, O Allah of truth.

O Allah, You hear my words, see my place, and know my secret and public affairs. Nothing about me is hidden from You. I am the wretched, needy one, seeking rescue and refuge, fearful and apprehensive, acknowledging and confessing my sin. I ask You as the needy person asks, beseech You as the humbled sinner beseeches, and call upon You as the fearful afflicted person calls: one whose neck bows before You, whose eyes overflow with tears for You, whose body is humbled, and whose nose is lowered before You. O Allah, do not leave me unhappy in calling upon You. Be kind and merciful to me, O best One to be asked, O best Giver.
