Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive our sins, erase our misdeeds, and cause us to die among the righteous. All greetings, prayers, and good things belong to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allah’s mercy and blessings. Peace be upon us and upon Allah’s righteous servants. O Allah, I ask You for good things, to do good deeds, to leave evil deeds, and to love the poor. O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, keep me alive while life is better for me and cause me to die while death is better for me. I ask You for fear of You in private and in public, a just word in contentment and anger, moderation in wealth and poverty, the pleasure of looking upon Your face, and longing to meet You. I seek refuge in You from harmful adversity and a trial that leads astray. O Allah, adorn us with the beauty of faith, and make us guides who are rightly guided.

I seek refuge in You from hunger, for it is an evil bedfellow; from betrayal, for it is an evil inner companion; from laziness, miserliness, cowardice, and decrepit old age; from being returned to the most feeble stage of old age; from the trial of the false messiah and the punishment of the grave; and from the trials of life and death. O Allah, we ask You for hearts that earnestly pray, are humble, and turn to You in Your cause. O Allah, to You I have bowed, before You I have humbled myself, in You I have believed, to You I have submitted, and upon You I have relied. You are my Lord. My hearing, my sight, my brain, my bones, my nerves, and everything my feet carry have humbled themselves before Allah, Lord of all worlds.
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, mend my condition, guide me, and provide for me.

اللهم إن هذا خلق جديد، فافتحه
اللهم إن هذا خلق جديد، فافتحه علي بطاعتك، واختمه لي بمغفرتك ورضوانك، وارزقني فيه حسنة تقبلها مني، وزكها وض ا عفها لي، وما عملت فيه من سيئة فاغفرها لي، إنك غفور رحيم، ودود كريم.
Transliteration
Allāhumma inna hādhā khalqun jadīdun, faftaḥhu ʿalayya biṭāʿatika, wakhtimhu lī bimaghfiratika wa riḍwānika, warzuqnī fīhi ḥasanatan taqbaluhā minnī, wa zakkihā wa ḍāʿifhā lī, wa mā ʿamiltu fīhi min sayyiʾatin faghfirhā lī, innaka ghafūrun raḥīmun, wadūdun karīm.
English translation
O Allah, this is a new creation, so begin it for me with obedience to You and end it for me with Your forgiveness and pleasure. Grant me within it a good deed that You accept from me, purify it, and multiply it for me. Forgive whatever evil deed I do within it. You are All-Forgiving, Most Merciful, Loving, Generous.

السلامة في الدين والدنيا
اللهم إني أصبحت لا أستطيع دفع ما أكره، ولا أملك نفع ما أرجو، وأصبح الأمر بيد غيري، وأصبحت مرتهنا بعملي، فلا فقير أفقر مني، اللهم لا تشمت بي عدوي، ولا تسؤ بي صديقي، ولا تجعل مصيبتي في ديني، ولا تجعل الدنيا أكبر همي، ولا تسط علي من لا يرحمني، يا حي يا قيوم.
Transliteration
Allāhumma innī aṣbaḥtu lā astaṭīʿu dafʿa mā akrahu, wa lā amliku nafʿa mā arjū, wa aṣbaḥa al-amru biyadi ghayrī, wa aṣbaḥtu murtahanan biʿamalī, fa lā faqīra afqaru minnī, Allāhumma lā tushmit bī ʿaduwwī, wa lā tasuʾ bī ṣadīqī, wa lā tajʿal muṣībatī fī dīnī, wa lā tajʿali ad-dunyā akbara hammī, wa lā tusaṭṭ ʿalayya man lā yarḥamunī, yā Ḥayyu yā Qayyūm.
English translation
O Allah, I have entered the morning unable to repel what I dislike or secure the benefit I hope for. Affairs are in another’s hand, and I remain bound by my deeds; no poor person is poorer than I am. O Allah, do not let my enemy rejoice at my misfortune, do not distress my friend on my account, do not let my calamity be in my religion, do not make this world my greatest concern, and do not give power over me to anyone who will not show me mercy, O Ever-Living, O Sustainer.
